  • Scott Clark - Front Door Ministry

    Scott has lived in Jefferson City since 2017 and attended First Church of God. Follower since childhood. Baptized in the Pacific Ocean on a mission trip to Costa Rica. He enjoys baking cookies for his staff and for church special events. Scott enjoys spending time with his family, church family, and traveling.  His life verse is Joshua 1:9 (KJV)  "Have I not commanded thee?  Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord they God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." 

  • Deb Miller - Global Missions

    Deb and her husband, Charles, moved to Jefferson City from Illinois in January of 2018.  They are active in various programs of the church - music, small groups, and anything they can help with.  Their family of two children has expanded to include a son-in-law, two grandsons and a step-granddaughter.  Deb gave her heart to Jesus as a teenager.  A special verse that reminds her that our Father knows our limitations and continues to love us - Psalm 103:14 "For He knows our frame, He remembers that we are dust."

  • Penny Sneller - Discipleship

    Penny Sneller currently oversees the ministry of discipleship which includes our adult Sunday school classes & small group ministry.  She has been a part of the First Church of God family in Jefferson City for 30+ years.  During that time she has served in a variety of roles including nursery, children's church, youth ministry, Sunday school & small group ministry.  Penny is married to Mark Sneller and they are the proud parents of 5 adult sons (4 daughter in-laws) & 11 grandchildren.  When she is not watching her grandchildren's sporting events, she enjoys camping  & traveling.  Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future."

  • Debbie Whitener - Hospitality

    Debbie was born in Gary, Indiana and lived in Chicago during her childhood.  She moved to Jefferson City in 1968 and met the love of her life, Robert, during high school.  They married in 1972.  She has 3 children and 7 grand children.  Debbie is a retired nurse but continues to work as needed at St. Mary's Health Center.

  • Doug Whetstone - Building and Grounds

    Doug grew up in the Kansas City and Denver Areas.  He joined the USAF upon graduating high school in 1966 and retired in 1988 while living in Alaska.  He moved to St. George, Utah with his wife Kay where they lived for 24 years.  He worked for the City of St. George as a building maintenance technician for 19 years before retiring.  Doug gave his life to Christ in January of 1993 and has never looked back.  His hobbies include model railroading, genealogy and riding his Honda Goldwing Trike.
