Worship at First Church

Worship. What does that word mean to First Church? The Bible defines worship as the appropriate response to God's self-revelation. We want to experience God. Our Sunday morning experience is designed to have you leave here refilled and recharged with God's presence. Our goal is that from the time we begin singing to the last 'amen' of the sermon we are worshipping. When we allow the Holy Spirit to move in us as we worship, it brings the entire body into harmony with one purpose, experiencing God. At First Church of God, we offer a blended style of music. What's a blended style of music?? A blended style of music uses contemporary and traditional hymns and psalms during the service. We strive to stay relevant to the needs of not only our congregation, but to the people who are not yet here. You will find a worship team here made up of vocalists, guitars (acoustic and electric), wind instruments, drums, piano and organ. We all strive to offer our best to God and to those who we are leading in worship. We understand that we have been blessed with Spiritual Gifts of music and leadership, and by using them in our services, we all are providing a ministry to aid people in experiencing God. Worship.
